Getting Ready for Hatchling #3

With all that has been going on around here over the last couple weeks, I am excited to be able to stay home and get ready for the baby now!  As time gets closer I have a list of things to do everyday...including deep cleaning and organizing one room every day!  

We are getting more and more excited for this little one to join our family!  I absolutely LOVE not knowing what we are having...especially at this time in the game, cause as you get closer the more the excitement grows to finally know what or who is in there :)  I am feeling pretty darn good...minus the 10 contractions I have an hour for the last month!  But oh how nice it will be to bend over again and be able to take deep breaths and not feel winded after picking up the house:)

2013 Big Horn Mountain Showndown

So the day after Taylin's birthday, on the last day of school, and 3 weeks before my due date...Tay had her big clogging competition here in town!  Which I think is always so fun to watch!  In the weeks leading up to the competition, Tay gets super competitive and practices a lot...which I love she is like this and is one to work hard at it and to take it seriously!

That night there was a barBQ for all the cloggers and their families in town for the competition!  Josh and I were to cook the pulled pork and beef for it!  Josh is actually a pro at this and pretty much did it all!  I ran home after Tay clogged that night to help Josh shred up all the meat and get sauce on it!  Holy COW  it was a tone of meat and needless to say my kitchen was a huge mess!  But the meat was a huge hit and delicious as always!  And I was so thankful to have Papa and Nannie here with us for the weekend!  I always love their company and help!

As for the dancers...Tay's team took 1st with both their dances and she took 2nd with her freestyle!  Since she placed in the top 3 in freestyle, she was called back for the dance off...which had her age competing with high school aged girls!  After they handed awards out for the dance off, Tay asked me if they were going to hand out trophies to the younger girls...I then explained to her that she was competing against all those older girls too!  She then said "That's it!  Let's go home!"  Haha she is so competitive!!

Over all it was a great weekend and an awesome start to the summer...now to get the house ready for Hatchling #3 to come!!

Last Day of Kindergarten :)

Holy Moly...were did this year go?!?!

Can't believe Tay is done with Kindergarten and onto 1st grade!

She has grown so much this year and learned sooo much!

She is reading and writing and doing math very well...I have been so impressed by what she has learned at school!  She has made so many new friends!  And we both have loved her teacher!  I am so thankful for teachers like Mrs. Andrews!  They put so much work and effort into teaching these kids all year long and grow to love them as well!  So glad Tay had her for a teacher and started her off on the right foot with schooling!!

HAPPY 6th BIRTHDAY TAYLIN!!!

Can't believe my baby is 6 already!!  WOW!

So I woke Tyalin up with one gift she could open before school!  Which was a new outfit to wear that day...which was such a Tylin outfit :)  Very pink, fluffy and girly :)

 I picked her up from school and took her to lunch at her favorite place...Subway :)

 Birthday Cakes in our house are usually huge projects...this year I was thankful that this was what she wanted!  She even drew me a picture to follow!  I think it turned out pretty cute and didn't take me long!

 Then we had a party with family that night!  I was planning on going to Pizza Hut for the little birthday party, but when I asked her if that was good...she said she did not want pizza, but that she wanted fried chicken, pasta salad, and watermelon...so that is what we had :)  I had no idea she liked fried chicken so much until then...which by the way we hardly ever have!

 I asked her what kind of treats the kids bring to school on their birthdays, she told me they all bring cupcakes, and then she told me she did not want to take cupcakes but wanted to do something healthy! So we made these cute little robots...applesauce, juice box, raisins, and twix :)

They were a huge hit with the class!

I think Tay had a pretty great birthday in the mix with the craziness of the week...the day after her birthday was the last day of school (half day) and then that evening her clogging competition started, which included a big BarBQ for all the cloggers and their families that were in town for the competition...and Josh and I were cooking the meat (pulled pork and beef)...will continue in the next post!

Surprise Party :)

A few months before Taylin's birthday she asked me if she could have a surprise birthday party...I tried to explain to her that you can't have a surprise party if you know about it!  But I was able to pull it off!  I did it the week before her birthday so she wasn't suspecting it!  Amy came and picked up her and Jordan and took them to the park to play for a bit, while I went to the other park and set things up!  Once they got there she was pretty surprised to see the me there with ballons... but she just asked what I was doing there, I had to tell her that it was a surprise party for her!  It was just a small party with only a couple friends, but it was perfect and the girls had a great time!!

Trip to Billings with Amy

The weekend before Taylin's birthday, Amy and I went to Billings..yes just the 2 of us with no kids :)  It was so much fun!  We met Janene at the temple, which I was so grateful to do before the baby comes and I don't have much time to do that again :)  I really enjoyed attending the temple this time, and love feeling the peacefulness that the temple brings!  Then we went out to eat at the Olive Garden followed by (of course) a trip to Costco, shopping at the mall, and a little Cold Stone before heading home!  It was such a great day and a very nice and much needed break from Mommy-hood for the both of us!  I have no idea why we don't do that more often...we soooo need to!  So blessed to have the best sisters-in laws and of course mother-in law in the whole entire world!  Love you guys!

Pedicure...gone wrong :)

Sometime around the first part of May, I decided to go pamper myself with a pedicure (since I had not had a pedicure sine I was going to school to become a nail tech...like 8 years ago)!  I had a sitter for Jordan set up and of course Tay would be at school!  I was looking forward to it all week!  So the day comes and I get Tay up for school and she tells me her stomach hurts... So I decide to have her lay down for a bit and rest, after awhile she eats a bit and starts feeling better!  I debated on whether or not to cancel my pedicure appointment!  Tay then asks me if she could just go with me to my appointment and then take her to school after that since she was starting to feel much better!  So that is what we do!  SO we get to the salon and I just get about 15 minutes into my pedicure when Tay walks over and sits down in a chair by me!  I could tell by the look on her face she was no longer feeling very well!  I ask her if she was ok and about that time she gets up and runs to the trash can and throws up :(  Poor girl I felt sooo bad for her, so needless to say that was the end of the pedicure as we headed home after that!  Fortunately that was the only time she threw up!  She came home and laid down for a couple hours and was totally fine after that!  So the next day was Saturday and Josh decided to come home and pick up Jordan to take him to work with him for awhile... SO I picked up the phone to see if Tay and I could go have some girl time together...so off we went to try the pedicure thing again!  This time was much better and we had a great time spending some girl time together :)
