Eventful Weekend!

On Friday afternoon, we headed over the mountain to Josh's parents for Angela's reception! It was a very busy weekend, but we always enjoy the time we get to spend with family! As soon as we got to town on Friday we went straight to the church to help setup and start decorating! After a couple hours we had some very hungry and tired kids! So we took them home and ate some dinner, got them all bathed and ready for bed! Then headed back to the church for some more decorating! Saturday was another busy day as we all worked on the food and last minute decorations! I helped make cheese fondue, while Josh worked on the chocolate fountains and the strawberry lemonade! Then we headed to the church to frost lots of cookies and get things ready to go! While we were there. Taylin got her hand smashed in a door! It was very scary, but the hand was not badly hurt! Then we went back to the house to get cleaned up, and then back to the church we went! The reception was Saturday night, and it turned out to be a wonderful evening! The decorations and setup was beautiful and the food was delicious! After cleaning up, we were all headed out the door! With all the lights off and the outside lights not working it was extremely dark. . . I was carrying a big chocolate cake. . . and I hit the curbing around the bushes and fell. . . right into the thorny bushes! But I managed to save the cake completely. . . it was totally untouched! I got myself up and out of the bushes and in the car! When we got to the house and had some light, we notice my ankle had a fairly decent size piece of a branch or wood chip sticking out of it! We get inside and Josh tried to pull it out, but it was not budging! So off we go to the emergency room! There the nurse tried to get it out but she is unable to get it to budge either! So she tells me that the doctor will probably have to come and cut it out of my ankle! After a few minutes the doctor comes in and messes around with it and is able to pull it out! I was so glad he didn't have to cut it out! The nurse cleaned me up and off we went! Other than it still being a little sore it is doing great! Unfortunately, because we were so busy, I didn't even pull our camera out the whole weekend! So no pictures of any of it! Sorry! We didn't even get a picture of the wood sticking out of my ankle, but we did get one a day or two later! Anyways, here are some cute pictures we have taken recently!

We are so luck to have this huge free pool in Buffalo! The water is cold,
but on a hot summer day it feels so good!
